So it's official. CityLightsGuide.com has joined MySpace. I don't know what it means for one website to join another website as if it were a person, but it sounds like the stuff of weighty existential rumination — 21st century style. It would be nice to have Friedrich Nietzsche around to tell us what it all means in the greater cosmic scheme. I do know this however, on a practical level it means that you can log on to MySpace.com, go to our profile page HERE (www.myspace.com/citylightsguide), befriend us and receive all our updates, coupons, news releases and the like. Which isn't too shabby, existential confusion aside. So join us, hold our virtual hand and show some love. Cause we love you too.

We finished our initial volley of restaurant entries today, though we've been staring at the computer so long we're beginning to resemble Peter Lorre (and talk like him too, for that matter). Still, creepy German accent aside, this means that the site is up and running for all intents and purposes. And that, friends, is sehr exciting.

This weekend we'd like to start tackling search engine submission - a strange and dangerous game where all can be won or lost in a single gambit - much like Kerplunk. Pray for us.

Welcome to CityLightsGuide.com! We've just launched the site this week and are really excited about it. We keep imagining more and more new features and have all these ideas about how to make this site incredibly useful and different and fun - frankly, it's keeping us up at night.

This blog is designed to keep you posted on all our new developments - as we put the site together and eventually take it into the future. We'll update you as we continue to expand and bring all our concepts to fruition. Mostly, we want this site to be a place where you can come to not only find out more about your city, but to experience it more fully in ways you never knew were possible.

Right now we're starting out in our own city of Boulder, Colorado. There's so much going on here, so many great places to turn users on to, we can't wait to get started. Right now, we're kicking it off with Boulder Restaurants - filling in the basic listings and starting our expansion into more complete entries complete with maps, articles and, of course, videoguides.
